We Love Opentable! - When dining out ourselves we will often use Opentable to browse new locations or simply to make reservations easily at places we know. And after dining, we will always take the time to write a review. As restaurant owners, we want to make dining with us as "hassle free" as possible. Therefore we take reservations and take reservations seriously. It is a rare occurrence at Bistro Rollin that a table you reserved will not be ready and waiting for you when you arrive. We also relish the feedback we get from our Opentable diners. It helps us improve and provides motivation to our staff. Dined 5/5-My husband and I recently moved into the neighborhood and this was our first time at Bistro Rollin. Andy from Blue Dog wine cellar suggested it and we were very happy with the food and service. We will definitely come back!

Dined 3/30/12 - We were there the last night of Restaurant week. The place was filled to capacity. The food was outstanding as usual. We chose from the Restaurant week menu. We had the carrot ginger soup and the pate. We both had the cod and the apple tarts for desert. Despite the filled restaurant, service didn't suffer.

Dined 3/28/12 - This restaurant gets it. We have been here before and always enjoyed the food. But for Restaurant Week they really did a fantastic job by truly showcasing signature dishes and getting the R.W. "bargain". We had the squid and foi gras to start. YUM. Then the skate and cod fish. Sauces complimented perfectly. Portions were so ample we had to take home the desserts -apple tart and chocolate molten cake, both with ice cream."

Had the French toast this visit. It was excellent and served with berries, whipped cream and syrup. French press coffee was excellent.

Dined 3/6/12 - Superb food beautifully presented. The duck was perfection. The escargot was too good to share. I'm not particularly fond of French cream sauces because they tend to be very rich and I am lactose intolerant. The menu is varied enough that I had plenty of choices in spite of that. Service was solicitous and conscientious. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Bistro Rollin has had a Cheese Plate almost since the day we opened, but to be honest, we have never been completely happy with our cheese selections. We had tried different sources and finally decided to go to the best-Murray's Cheese in Lower Manhattan. One of the country's premiere cheese purveyors. We also made a decision to go with all American cheeses from smaller artisanal producers. We work with Murray's extremely knowledgeable staff on a continuous basis to select a changing variety of select American cheeses. Come in an try our Artisanal American Cheese Plate. You will love it!

Casual Dining at Bistro Rollin

Bistros were invented for Winter Days and Nights. During daylight hours our large skylights and windows let in the weak Winter light while you dine in cozy comfort. In the evening our wood paneled and mirrored dining room welcomes you to relax and enjoy our great food and hospitality. But, most of all the warmth of our hospitality and quality of food just takes off that Winter chill!

Our Sunday Brunch is growing by leaps and bounds! Come in and find out why. A perfect way to spend a couple of hours with the kids or without. We have a Crafts Table for the children if they join you so everybody can enjoy their brunch. Wine by the glass and bottle from all over the world and of course a Full Bar with Specialty Cocktails like a French Martini or French Kiss and many others. Come in for Sunday Brunch from 9:30, Lunch 12-2:30 and Dinner from 5:00.

Chef Manny Lozano

is the engine that drives Bistro Rollin. His skill, passion and dedication inspires all of us! 

Chef Lozano’s career in restaurant kitchens began straight out of high school when he went to work at an Italian restaurant in his home town of Whit e Plains that was owned by the family of one of his close friends. These early years were when he discovered his passion for cooking.

As evidence of Manny’s enormous skills and creativity emerged over the ensuing 20 years he took advantage of the opportunity to work with some of New York's greatest chefs. At March with Wayne Nish, with Charlie Palmer at Aureole, and probably most importantly with Jean-Michel Bergougnoux, the Chef-Owner atL'Absinthe.

Manny’s work at March was a turning point in his career as Chef Nish recommended him to his friend Jean-Michel, which quickly led to Manny’s move to L’Absinthe and ultimately his elevation to sous-chef, a role he had for six years in the award-winning kitchen. At Bistro Rollin Manny has demonstrated the ability to execute classic bistro dishes that show the subtlety and complexity that made them classics in the first place! And, at the same time to create new variations on the classics that continue to surprise and delight our guests. We are very proud to have him as our Executive Chef!
